Reflecting on 2025: the year we started Ploi Cloud

As I sit here writing this, it still feels surreal. Just over a year ago, Ploi Cloud was nothing more than an idea scribbled in a notebook and late-night conversations about what container deployment should look like.

It all started with a dream (and a lot of paperwork)

In early 2025, we took the leap. Setting up the company—registering with the Chamber of Commerce, establishing the B.V.—felt like a mountain of bureaucracy. But every form signed, every document filed, brought us one step closer to making this real. By July 2025, Ploi Cloud was officially live.

I still remember the mix of excitement and terror when we pushed that first production deployment. Would it work? Would anyone care? Turns out, you did care. And that means everything.

Looking back at our git history (848 commits since July alone!), I'm proud of what we've accomplished:

• Auto-scaling — your apps scale up when traffic spikes, scale down when it's quiet

• Domain monitoring — SSL certificates, wildcard domains, all handled automatically

• Workers and schedulers — background jobs that just work

• Database import/export — because migrations shouldn't be scary

Each feature represents countless cups of coffee, debugging sessions at odd hours, and that special kind of joy when something finally clicks into place.
